Duce of Fascism (1919-1945)

A historical figure that is somewhat polarizing to this day, Mussolini is still regarded by some in his native country as a great figure of the not to distant past. His biography, which I have not yet gotten too, is on my long list of books to read.
With this portrait I tried emulating the style and color palettes of Italian film poster artist Jean (Gianfranco) Mascii.

Mussolini is quoted as having said "Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy. You in America will see that some day." and "The truth is that men are tired of liberty."
Here are two quotes that illustrate well the last 70 years and shows that we must be students of the past to understand the present and shape the future.
