Gramma (1931-2022)

A couple of months ago my maternal grand-mother, who was in the declining stages of Alzheimer's, suffered a sudden fall and later that day passed on due to the head injuries she sustained. It was a very sudden event but as we grieved we knew she was now at peace.
She had always been a big part of my life. So I decided that day to honour her memory by painting her portrait.
I had the painting printed and two weeks ago, on the day of her funeral rites, gifted a copy to my mother, aunt and uncles.
I present you my grand-mother, Jeannine, and probably one of the best portraits I've done so far.
