Anthony Bourdain (1956-2018)
Bourdain was a chef, author and travel documentarian starring in shows like "No Reservations", "The Layover" & "Parts Unknown".

A lot of us got to know Tony through what he shared with us on television. His witty and cynical remarks mixed with his no non-sense narration made us want to know more of him, and throughout the years, we felt we did.
He did not hide the dark spots of his past and he made it clear that with the increased notoriety and "celebrity" status came the usual ups and downs.
But his death by suicide, while on location, came as a shock to all.

His legacy can be felt in pretty much all the travel/food shows that followed. He had a unique voice and way of telling things and now, probably like many, I find myself going back to those old
shows to find comfort and soothing.
We are lucky to have so much footage to go back too.

Like a culinary Steve McQueen, Tony really was the "King of Cool" of the food world.
Gone too soon, never forgotten.
